Was hoping the beautiful blonde woman on the street would turn out to be Cate Blanchett. :) Also, what a control freak – "Picture?" is 100% her making sure you're not with anyone else. Holy crap. HOLY CRAP. This story!

Cate Blanchett can stomp me to death any day.

The absolute arrogance to say “that’s the mother of my children! She needs to spend her time with the kids. Not talking to some butch lesbian named JR.” I actually said “fuck youuuu” out loud after reading that. The lack of any sort of self awareness is astounding.

Oh I know. Not to mention the misogyny and hypocrisy. Truly mind-blowing.

I remember when I started reading this series a few short weeks ago and it gave me horrible anxiety. Now I just want Trashley to trip and fall down a manhole 😆. Also, trying to understand being mad because you made a stranger laugh? Made me think of a conversation I had with an ex where she said “tell them I’m funny, dammit!” Can’t remember the whole context but that was a stand out line.

You're probably not in Joshua Tree (saw your IG) for the JT Music Fest this weekend, but if you are my buddy Barnett is the guy who runs (owns) it. He's super nice and hilarious, and he'd probably really enjoy meeting you! (I moved back to Ohio after living in JT for 5 years - fuck I miss that place)

edit: my bad, it's next weekend lol

Fun!! I'm not here for the music festival, but if I run into a guy named Barnett I'll make sure to say hi. And wow, I can't believe you lived here for five years, I always regretted not spending more time out here during the Pandemic. It's one of my favorite places on the planet.

It was the place to be during the pandemic - sun, hiking and magic mushrooms. I lived in Flamingo Heights which has the best restaurant ‘La Copine’ (owned by two funny lesbians) and coffee shop (Giant Rock) if you haven’t been…

Oh I LOVE La Copine! And I don't think I've been to Giant Rock coffee, I'll have to check it out next time. I usually hit up Country Kitchen for breakfast and the Joshua Tree Coffee Co. next door. I also really love Kitchen in the Desert but it's more 29 Palms area. So many great places!
